**Role Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate and coordinate the timely sharing of Federal, Provincial and Territorial (FPT) information across the department to ensure effective departmental participation in intergovernmental forums and relationships.
- Building positive relationships with key FPT contacts both departmentally and across Canada.
- Maximizing the impact and presence of Alberta on the national FPT stage.
- Briefing management on emerging and continuing FPT issues.
- Increasing internal staff knowledge and capacity on intergovernmental relations.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum Requirements:

- University graduation in sociology, political science, human ecology, public administration, criminal justice, or a related field
- PLUS minimum of 4 years in a similar role

Equivalencies will be considered based on one-year experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.

**The following knowledge or experiences are considered assets**:

- Experience in collaborating with federal, provincial, and territorial (FPT) working groups.
- Experience preparing and coordinating excellent policy documents, reports, briefing notes, and/or presentations providing recommendations within a tight timeline.
- Experience operating in a highly political and technical environment with knowledge of the government policy cycle and approval process.
