- The Manager, Occupational Health & Safety with the Calgary Police Service (CPS) provides strategic leadership in health management and assessment of corporate health needs. As a member of the Health, Safety & Abilities leadership team, you will foster the development, implementation and sustainability of health and wellness programs ensuring alignment with Service priorities and business plans. Specific duties as follows:

- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management of the Occupational Health & Safety team members, including championing positive change leadership when promoting and implementing new programs.
- Design, implement and manage effective Health Management strategies and programs that facilitate successful return-to-work plans and accommodations.
- Oversee the delivery of programs that promote a healthy workplace and maximize productivity including preventative biological monitoring, blood/bodily fluid exposure monitoring, immunization, and substance abuse programs.
- Support the development of the divisions strategic plan, including section business planning, process redesign, technology improvements and policy development. Develop, monitor budget and resourcing.
- Through strong and effective communication, increase the awareness, understanding and participation in the CPS Health and Wellness programs; and measure the effectiveness of those programs through reportable metrics to CPS executive.

**Qualifications**
- A degree in a related field such as Business, Human Resources, Health Management, Kinesiology, or Wellness and 4 years of experience supporting health and wellness management is required.
- Previous experience managing and leading teams is required.
- Applicants with previous law enforcement experience is an asset.
- Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to plan and prioritize responsibilities, manage resources and work in a changing environment. A visionary leader with excellent communication, relationship and team building skills.

**Pre-employment Requirements**
- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.
