Based in North Vancouver since 1986, we are a dynamic software engineering and asset performance management (APM) company. Design Maintenance Systems Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Finance and Administration Manager. As the Finance and Admin Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating financial activities and administrative functions within our company. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing budgets, managing financial reporting, and implementing effective administrative policies. This position involves working closely with department heads, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, fiscal responsibility, and streamlined operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies and long-term financial planning to support the company's growth objectives. Collaborate with the executive team to align financial goals with overall business strategies.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses. Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team for strategic decision-making.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Lead the budgeting process, ensuring effective cost control measures are in place. Monitor and analyze budget performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure the financial stability of the company. Develop strategies to optimize cash flow and manage risk effectively.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting principles, and company policies. Identify financial risks and implement appropriate risk management strategies.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance and administrative teams. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Administrative Oversight: Oversee administrative functions, including but not limited to HR, IT, facilities, and procurement. Streamline processes to improve overall efficiency.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors, financial institutions, auditors, and government authorities.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience with 5+ years in a senior finance management role.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic financial insights.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities to effectively lead teams and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
- Experience in managing administrative functions is a plus.
- Demonstrated track record of implementing process improvements and optimizing financial operations.
- Experience with SAGE and other financial software and ERP systems
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFA are advantageous.
