**Position Overview**:
We are seeking an Account Manager focused on business development and customer retention in Alberta, particularly Edmonton. This role involves identifying client needs, fostering relationships, and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Identify and secure new business opportunities, including upselling and cross-selling to existing customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Pricing, Solutions, Legal, and Business Implementation) to ensure accurate reporting and task prioritization.
- Utilize customer feedback to enhance account management and develop action plans for improvement.
- Conduct business reviews and provide sector KPI reports to customers, helping them track their performance against budgets.
- Anticipate customer needs and develop long-term business relationships.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of customers' supply chains, strategies, and goals.
- Develop account plans focused on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and growth.
- Drive revenue for assigned customer portfolios and secure new clients.
- Keep management informed with activity and results reports.
- Monitor the competitive landscape for marketplace insights and pricing strategies.
- Resolve customer complaints through investigation, solution development, and reporting.
- Perform other duties as required.

**Qualifications & Key Competencies**:

- Post-secondary education in business administration or a related field is an asset; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Previous experience in transportation or operations is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years in outside sales, sales support, customer service, or B2B sales.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Results-driven with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Familiarity with FTL and LTL freight programs, particularly in supply chain logistics, is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel as needed; regular short-distance travel required.
- Subject to a criminal background check prior to employment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.

**Work Environment**:

- Hybrid workplace: a mix of in-office (Edmonton terminal) and home office.
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week.

**Compensation**:

- Competitive base salary ( $70,000 - $ 85,000 (commensurate with experience)
