**About the Position**

The HR Knowledge Management and Operations Excellence Advisor drives HR knowledge management strategy and development, operational dashboarding, and process improvement.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**HR Knowledge Development, Management & Maintenance**
- Coordinate the end-to-end HR knowledge article creation, review, and publishing process.
- Support content creation in collaboration with CoEs.
- Participate in the identification of knowledge gaps and inquiry and process ‘hot spots’ and maintenance of knowledge article development roadmap.
**Operational Excellence**
- Develop the HR Service Centre performance and operational excellence strategy, purpose, tools.
- Identify HR metrics (i.e., KPIs, SLAs), including which ones are to be measured, the period of measure, outcomes of success and unsuccessful achievement of HR metrics.
- Measure HR metrics and take the appropriate action to improve unsuccessful achievement of HR metrics.
- Determine optimization opportunities (i.e., defining priorities, assessing priorities, executing on priorities, etc.) and execute on optimization opportunities.
**Process Improvement**
- Identify new service requirements and opportunities to rationalize, consolidate, and standardize existing services.
- Assist with the implementation of initiatives that are focused on streamlining processes and reducing turnaround times.
- Optimize processes and implement necessary process changes in partnership with CoE.
- Perform organizational and data analytics and quality management to enable continuous improvement.
**HR Function Onboarding**
- Support with the onboarding of new HR team members (i.e., team introduction, ways of working, tools and technology support).
- HR Control and Approval Management.
- Govern HR controls and process approval management.
- Ensure delineation of duties.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:
- Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a HR or related field.
- Lean Six Sigma or other Lean education or relevant experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- Strong HR-related experience.
**PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES**:
- Develop an understanding and support for the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada and its implications as related to position responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of data management, HRIS platform technologies (Workday preferred but not required).
- Strong skills in knowledge management maintenance.
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Analytical and process improvement capabilities.
- Ability to keep confidentiality.
- Ability to provide an original copy of a Background Check that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion, is required.
