**As the HR Generalist, you will support very busy retail operations,across Canada**, collaborating closely with the HR team. Utilize your Human Resources education, experience, and great interpersonal skills to support managers and employees at retail branches. Reporting to the HR Director, you will:
- Prioritize, respond to, and follow up on a wide range of employee and manager requests (from Atlantic to Pacific locations).
- Prepare employment agreements (contracts) and amendments, accurately and within tight deadlines.
- Track and follow up on job openings, contracts/requests, and onboarding deadlines, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Prepare, follow up on, and ensure proper completion of onboarding documentation, including employee background checks, contracts, letters, payroll forms, and IT requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential employee records (e-files), HRIS data, HR files (Excel), and HR team directories (OneDrive).
- Assist HR Director with various administrative, employee, and project support duties.
- Assist HR team and branch managers with return to work (RTW) process.
- Support and serve as backup for Payroll & Benefits Administrator for non-payroll related duties, e.g., UKG payroll system issues, earnings, vacation/PTO, and benefits inquiries.
- Draft/prepare letters, reports (Excel), and summaries for HR Director and senior leadership.
- Maintain completeness and accuracy of employee files. Audit files as needed.
**Job Requirements**:
- 3 years’ minimum of progressive Human Resources experience.
- CPHR or related certification preferred.
- Completion of Human Resources post-secondary education.
- Knowledge of and experience in HR administration, employment laws and standards (ESA), HRIS, HR policies/procedures, recruiting, onboarding, privacy/compliance, and HR project support.
- Experience working with and maintaining highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Experienced at working remotely in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Experience supporting employees in different provinces is beneficial.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, service-focused, and resourceful.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while completing tasks/assignments accurately and efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid organizational, planning, follow-up, and documenting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Experience using UKG and Canva is beneficial.
- Bilingual (English/French) skills are an asset.
