**Job Purpose**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Review pre-convention billing information
- Prepare billings including back up information and statements
- Audit daily banquet event for posting
- Post cheques received daily
- Respond and resolve guest complaints and research chargebacks
- Prepare journal entries for house accounts and manager accounts
- Reconcile chargebacks, A/R clearing and bad debts
- Prepare month end A/R aging report
- Make collection calls for overdue accounts
- Review and audit daily sales
- Prepare Daily Statistics Report and submit Daily Revenue Report to Owners
- Reconcile credit card transactions
- Prepare journal entries for the daily sales
- Other duties as assigned from time to time

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Working knowledge of Hotel OPERA PMS systems
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- College diploma or degree in accounting
- Previous experience in a hotel accounting department is beneficial
- Proficient in Excel and Sage (ACCPAC)
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in similar position

**Physical Requirements**
- Enter work-related information using computers and point of sales systems
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than 10 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
