We are currently looking for a dynamic Sales Executive to join our ComNet Networks and Security Inc. team at our Ottawa office.

Job Description

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Sales Executive will be responsible for promoting and selling our products and services to generate revenue. This role involves identifying potential customers, understanding their needs, pitching our offerings effectively, negotiating terms, and closing sales deals.

The Sales Executive will also build and maintain relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business. Additionally, the Sales Executive will collaborate with our marketing team to develop sales strategies, analyze market trends, set sales targets, and contribute to the overall growth of the company. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Staying updated on product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry developments to improve sales performance and stay competitive in the market.
  • Working closely with other departments such as marketing, product development, PM’s, Operation Manager, Branch Manager, Estimator and customer service to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Keeping detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts to provide regular reports to management.
  • Providing after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction, address any concerns, and foster long-term relationships.
  • Conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Setting and achieving sales targets as outlined by the company to contribute to the overall revenue goals.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma and/or higher.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience of sales experience within the security and network integration industry.
  • Proven track record of successful sales experience, preferably within the technology or security industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully selling complex security solutions, including physical security, cybersecurity, access control systems, and surveillance systems.
  • Experience with B2B sales and a strong understanding of the sales process from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Certifications with various manufacturers would be considered an asset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various security solutions such as physical security, cybersecurity, access control systems, surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems, IoT, cloud security.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards pertaining to security and IoT solutions.
  • Ability to convey complex security concepts in clear, simple terms to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring understanding and effective communication.

  • Capacity to handle high-stress situations, especially when dealing with a variety of people on different issues and managing unpredictable workloads during unprecedented times.
  • Skilled at coordinating and adjusting priorities efficiently to meet tight deadlines and shifting demands.
  • Strong reactive problem-solving abilities, able to quickly address and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Ability to maintain focus and productivity despite occasional work interruptions.
  • Resilience and resourcefulness in managing workload and expectations when facing a lack of control over demands.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English and French is an asset.
  • Be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
