Director of Sales Job Description

We are seeking an experienced sales leader to join our team at Stonewood Group Inc. as a Director of Sales.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will lead our sales organization, working closely with the senior management team to develop and execute a sales strategy that drives growth and revenue.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned sales executive who is passionate about leading high-performing teams and driving business results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a sales development representative (SDR) team, sales managers, and outside sales staff in a SaaS-oriented sales model.
  • Collaborate with Data and Revenue Operations and Marketing teams to build, manage, and execute new and existing campaigns.
  • Develop close working relationships with the management team to evolve the sales strategy and customer relationships.
  • Assist in corporate budget planning, specifically in sales forecasting and sales pipeline management, as a member of the leadership team.
  • Prepare timely reports and analytical metrics to monitor and appraise sales programs and efforts.
  • As a member of the Senior Management Team, contribute to developing and executing short, medium, and long-term strategy.
  • Develop strategies and tactics for the sales team from lead generation to closing.
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, products, target clients, etc.
  • Create plans for new areas of sales and business development.
Requirements:
  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma in business or equivalent, with 10 years of sales experience.
  • Five to ten years in business-to-business sales leadership roles in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Proven track record of revenue growth through direct sales, partnerships, and channel sales.
  • Proven sales management and operational management experience contributing to the success of a similar-sized business.
  • Proven experience building, growing, and developing a sales team.
  • Expert knowledge of Outbound Digital Sales Tools.
  • Experience in VOIP/Telecommunication, SaaS, or recurring revenue business models is considered an added benefit.
  • Demonstrates ability to think creatively and exhibits awareness of best sales practices and methods.

  • Commercial Acumen: Applies appropriate commercial and financial principles; Appreciates the commercial impact of own work on the organization's total expenses and revenues.
  • Planning and Objective Setting: Systematic in approach to work; Is realistic about time-scales and builds in appropriate checkpoints, milestones, and controls in order to ensure that desired results are realized.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
