Your responsibilities
- Perform and coordinate maintenance and repair work with fellow mechanics.
- Provide assistance to Sales department.
- Comply with safety procedures as set out by company policy and provincial Health and Safety Act .
- Participate in weekly job box meetings.
- Work in coordination with property managers, designated managers, general contractors, and owners to meet or exceed contractual obligations.
- Participate in the training of field personnel as required.
- Assure the application of optimum workmanship and the development and maintaining of good working relationships between colleagues and customers.
- Maintain current knowledge of all aspects of elevator technology.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication.
- Take ownership of work-related issues.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.
Your qualifications
- High School Diploma is required coupled by a minimum of five years’ experience in the elevator industry.
- Must be in possession of a valid Mechanic’s License and Valid EDMA License.
- Strong mechanical and electrical reasoning and comprehension skills.
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- A desire to learn, maintain and expand knowledge of all aspects of elevator technology.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
- Requires demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of employees and customers, internal and external.
- TAC 32 experience an asset.
