What you will be doing
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs general administrative tasks such as on-boarding and off-boarding new/ existing nurse , Concur set up, and submitting MYIT tickets
- Compiles information from various sources and utilizes the information for uses such as generating reports.
- Updates and maintains pertinent business information files.
- Assists with a variety of scheduled and un-scheduled projects occurring in the region at any given time.
- Interacts frequently with inter-departmental administrative assistants and management for the purpose of resolving workload issues and vacation coverage
- Maintains and promotes positive and professional working relationships with associates and management.
- Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
- Maintains training records for the Field nurses and provides reports to BAMs and DNOs.
- Works with other Regional Administrative Assistants to align on Standard processes, Nationally.
- Reviews the Homecare tracker and follows up with nurses for completion.
- Reviews the Home care audit and follows up with the BAMs for FN completion.
- Performs related duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in an administrative role
- In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications is essential
- Proven accuracy when processing large amounts of data;
- Candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
- Adaptability to change and to learn new skills as required; and
- Bilingual, French/English preferred
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
- Ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
- Ability to present a positive and professional image
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Smart Sheets
- Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
- Strong business and financial acumen an asset.
