Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strategic partnerships.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and open-minded individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional results. You will be expected to buy into our company values and mission statement, and work collaboratively with our team to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and grow existing business for our Real Estate Law Firm and Renovation Company
  • Develop and implement business development plans and go-to-market strategies
  • Present and pitch RFP's, including developing customized content for presentation
  • Visit and deliver marketing materials for all prospective clients/businesses
  • Conduct client, prospect, industry, competitor and market research/analysis to inform targeted business development efforts
  • Pursue leads and move them through the sales cycle
  • Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Build and maintain relationships with B2B's, B2P's, and B2C's for long term initiatives and continued lifetime valued experience
  • Enhance organization's reputation by upholding ownership of role and company
  • Meet quarterly and annual quota to ensure continued business growth
  • Hold business seminars and workshops to promote business services
  • Liaison with In-House Marketing, IT, Support staff for maximum achievement in lead generation tools/resources to manage the client pipeline
  • Meet with Manager quarterly to evaluate quota/performance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or post-secondary education or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of experience in developing, managing and implementing business development plans and go-to-market strategies
  • Subject matter expertise in understanding clients' needs and engaging and building trust with them
  • Professional services (law or accounting) experience an asset
  • Professional services (renovations and real estate) experience an asset
  • Superb sales skills, selling effectively over the phone and in-person
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to help clients with end results
  • Strong knowledge of the professional services industry and in business-to-business marketing and business to consumer marketing
  • Advanced Excel skills including XLOOKUP, H/VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros, etc.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with high-level internal clients and colleagues of all levels locally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, personable and self-motivated
  • A self-starter who is able to work with little day-to-day supervision
  • Advanced knowledge and use of Excel for reporting purposes (such as charts, pivot tables and graphs) is an asset
