Job Summary

Challenger Motor Freight Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in driving profitable sales growth and supporting the company's expansion into new markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities, with a focus on the Transportation industry.
  • Prospect Identification and Qualification: Identify and qualify potential customers, understanding their needs and requirements to tailor our sales approach.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, leveraging our company's expertise and services to meet their needs.
  • Deal Closure and Management: Close sales deals and manage the sales process from lead generation to closure, ensuring timely and effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs, informing our sales strategies and approaches.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales strategies.
Requirements
  • Proven Sales Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Business Development or Sales, with a track record of achieving sales targets and quotas.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Transportation industry, including LTL sales and logistics.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in corporate productivity and web presentation tools, with experience working with CRM software.
  • Time Management and Organization: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced sales environment.
