Scheduler/Dispatcher - Kingston Branch Office

**Job Summary:**
The Operations Scheduler/Dispatcher will assist in tracking and deploying security staff, handling dispatch duties, and communicating with clients and security staff.
**Job Description:**
The Operations Scheduler/Dispatcher will be responsible for:
* Communicating information to clients and security staff using telecommunications systems and equipment, through email and phone calls
* Answering calls received by hospital staff, security staff, and the general public, and dispatching security staff accordingly
* Interacting with police, the fire department, and EMS as required
* Updating and maintaining security staff schedules as changes arise during shifts, and filling shifts as vacancies arise
* Strategically planning schedules to utilize resources effectively and efficiently to avoid unnecessary overtime
* Providing information to staff as requested regarding additional shifts, coverages, and shift availability/locations
* Consistently updating management with accurate daily open shift logs
* Creating, updating, and modifying work schedules for security guards within Paladin Security for Ottawa and Kingston
**Qualifications:**
* Working knowledge of the security industry is an asset
* Proficient in MS Office Suite
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
* Superior customer service skills
* Ability to work under pressure
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
* Working knowledge of ESA, Human Rights, and Labour Relations
