Role Description

Reporting to the Senior Department Manager/Structural Division Manager, within the Structural group, the Senior Structural Technologist will have the opportunity to work on concrete, steel, and wood civil infrastructure projects in a multi-discipline project team environment. Your responsibilities will include developing cost-effective engineering designs and construction solutions for the organization's clients.

Duties:

  • Contribute to the engineering design processes for various civil infrastructure projects, including buildings, ports, harbors, and bridges.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication among team members from different fields to achieve project goals.
  • Assist in project management, ensuring they are completed within the established timeline.
  • Actively participate in site visits to gather essential information needed to support design activities.
  • Maintain high standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Promote growth within the team and contribute to increasing the overall knowledge base within the company.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of civil engineering consulting experience.
  • On path to registration or currently registered as a P.Tech. with the New Brunswick Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists.
  • College diploma from an accredited Civil Engineering Technology program.
  • Proven project management and technical skills.
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience writing, compiling, and reviewing technical reports would be an asset
