Position Overview
AECOM's Buildings + Places division is currently seeking a Marine Structural Engineer to join our team.
This role focuses on the design and analysis of marine facilities and infrastructure, including jetties, wharfs, and piers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized technical input for structural studies and designs of marine infrastructure.
- Act as a senior technical resource and advisor for project teams.
- Develop study and design procedures to ensure high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.
- Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
- Prepare construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates for projects.
- Conduct quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
- Draft technical specification sections.
- Contribute to the development of engineering budgets and schedules.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering is required, along with a minimum of four years of relevant experience in the structural design of marine facilities.
Professional engineering designation is preferred, along with experience in pile foundations and concrete decks, and familiarity with saltwater construction.
