Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the Radiological Technologist II is tasked with executing radiological procedures aimed at medical diagnosis within the operating room and X-ray department as required.

The Radiological Technologist II is responsible for conducting radiological procedures for medical diagnosis, which includes but is not limited to: evaluating requisitions for suitable examinations, views, and necessary equipment; selecting techniques to ensure quality imaging while minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff; practicing sterile techniques when necessary; and performing clerical duties related to patient care.

Variable shift lengths; rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays
A graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program is required.
Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) is mandatory.

Successful completion of a Basic Life Support (BLS) program from the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada within the last 12 months or successful completion of a BLS Renewal Challenge Certificate is essential.

Experience in pediatric imaging is considered an asset.
Demonstrated ability to make independent technical decisions and collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team is required.
Proficiency in additional languages will be viewed favorably; French is preferred.
