Our Markham client is a rapidly growing investment company that has recently gone through significant growth. As part of their unprecedented growth and some internal changes in the organization, we are currently recruiting for a Director of Accounts Payable. Initially, you will be working 3 days a week in the office until further changes are contemplated. You are an experienced AP leader with significant P2P experience combined with process improvement.

The role will report to the VP who will challenge the candidate to take on increasing levels of responsibility, innovate continuously, and develop their leadership abilities. As a part of the finance management team, the candidate will have a peer group to collaborate with and be challenged by on a regular basis as they work as a team to enable the company's growth strategy.

You will lead, supervise and work with a team of 5 individuals, providing training and guidance on a daily basis. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable department for a multi-entity, multi-currency structure to ensure all payments are processed accurately in accordance with policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a relentless pursuit of continuous improvement through automation using technology and streamlining AP processes to drive down cycle time and reduce manual efforts.


Job Requirements:

  1. You must have a degree in Accounting or Business with at least 10+ years of AP leadership experience with a team of at least 5 staff.
  2. Above average use of Microsoft Excel is required.
