Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities:
• Manage the processing and reconciliation of invoices in multiple currencies, ensuring accurate exchange rate application.
• Monitor and manage currency fluctuations to optimize payment strategies.
• Collaborate with treasury to hedge currency risks and execute foreign currency payments.
• Utilize multiple accounting systems to manage and track payables, ensuring seamless integration and data accuracy.
• Develop and implement system improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable processes.
• Provide training and support to team members on system functionalities and updates.
• Oversee accounts payable processes for multiple company entities, ensuring compliance with each entity's policies and procedures.
• Prepare and consolidate reports for management review, highlighting key metrics and insights across all entities.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong relationships.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and company policies.
• Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to accounts payable transactions.
• Generate and analyze financial reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company's accounts payable processes remain current and compliant.
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist
• Experience with Sage 50 and QuickBooks strong preferred
• Experience working with multi-currencies
• Have a solid understanding of various accounting functions
• Display expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures
• In-depth experience working in the G/L
• Familiarity with manual Accounting processes
• Strong attention to detail, initiative, and integrity
