Sous Chef

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the position of Sous Chef, at Nakiska Ski Resort. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager. The ideal candidate will have previous experience, have a positive attitude, be teamwork-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Come join our Food & Beverage team and Experience the Ultimate.

Start Date: November 15, 2024

Duties:

  • To ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
  • To assist guests at every opportunity
  • Planning and direction of food preparation according to resort F&B specifications
  • Follow kitchen's systems & principles
  • Promote a safe, sanitized work environment, ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, safety and food storage management
  • Keep the kitchen running smoothly, manage challenges quickly and efficiently
  • Coach, mentor, lead kitchen staff during working hours
  • Flexible, versatile, and thrive on working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensuring the highest level of service and guest experience
  • Provide non-stop team work with your teammates and managers
  • Adhere to RCR Policy, Employee Handbook and Safety Management Program

Qualifications:

  • Previous Sous Chef experience required
  • Cook training certification an asset
  • Food safe certification an asset, may be obtained upon hire
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude
  • Able to work weekends and holidays
