About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Cost Control: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory to ensure optimal profitability.
  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with our culinary team to plan and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train our culinary staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition and manage food and kitchen supplies to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food prepared meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, responding to their needs and preferences.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a senior culinary role.
  • Certifications: Cook Trade Certification or equivalent.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
