We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of quality and service in our resort's food and beverage operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe and comfortable dining environment for guests and staff
- Assist guests with their dining needs and provide exceptional customer service
- Plan and direct food preparation according to resort F&B specifications and standards
- Follow kitchen systems and principles to maintain high levels of cleanliness and food safety
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
- Coach and develop team members to achieve their full potential
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our culinary offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume resort or hotel environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high levels of performance
