For almost 30 years, GHS has delivered an enterprise-level of service and support to clients. We are looking for Senior IBMi Specialist to join our team . This is a full-time can be a remote position from Canada or USA.

The Senior IBMi Specialist deliver complex solution design for customers including requirements gathering, data collection, capacity planning, performance analysis, configuration, quality assurance and technical risk assessments. Perform the administration and overall maintenance of IBMi servers, including among others: infrastructure migrations, operating system and software updates, install and configure IBM Power server virtualization tools (PowerVM, HMC, VIOs and others). Deliver post-sale technical support, conducting product training, identifying and resolving issues, owning incident, problem and change management for assigned tasks. Provide 3rd level technical support to GHS clients and its Cloud environment. Write documentation, proposals, reports, analyses, technical specifications, estimates. Work effectively with customer cross-functional teams composed of technical and sales staff, project management and business stakeholders as evidenced by GHS business results and customer satisfaction. Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations.
Utilize knowledge & experience with IBMi series OS, software and hardware life cycle.
Perform capacity and performance monitoring and management.
Actively contribute within the team and GHS through tangible contributions to process development, quality improvements, operational efficiency and other business improvement projects.
Demonstrate technical leadership through teaching, coaching and support of other technical team members
Knowledge of software such as BRMS, Assure Security, Quick-EDD and PowerHA.
Share its expertise with the company within certain strategic projects.

Working knowledge of IBMi hardware, tape libraries, Virtual Tape Libraries (VTL)
~ Proficiency in performing installation of OS upgrades
~ Familiarity working with IBM VIOS and SAN infrastructures is an asset
~ System backup and recovery concepts (BRMS expertise is an asset)
~ Basic system security and networking concepts
~ Experience managing data replication and IBMi High Availability
