Reporting to the Senior Technical Support Specialist (Team Lead), in the Asset Management unit, you will participate in the implementation, administration and ongoing support of all modules of the Technology Asset Management (TAM) system.

As an Enterprise Technical Support Specialist (IT Asset Management Specialist), you will work as part of a technical project team to understand and define requirements based on needs, and analyze and document asset management information and processes. We will count on you as well to research and evaluate acquired hardware and software assets to ensure that technology asset compliance is maintained at all stages of the asset lifecycle across the Enterprise.

**Major Responsibilities**:
As an Enterprise Technical Support Specialist (IT Asset Management) you will:

- Performs analysis of enterprise and divisional hardware and software assets, license type, discovery data and hardware platform on which the software is installed, monitor compliance and perform reconciliations against various agreements and contracts including software licenses, support agreement and vendor documentation, and produce software usage reports for software action and to ensure compliance as well as reduce costs.
- Ensures proactive action is taken to maintain operation, liaising with divisional staff to ensure that steps are taken to maintain accurate data and compliance with various terms and conditions of enterprise and divisional hardware and software assets, as well as identifying and documenting key terms that should be tracked.
- Provides assistance and support in the planning, assessment, procurement, deployment and disposal of enterprise and divisional hardware and software acquisition and/or upgrades to ensure that the information is recorded appropriately in the TAM** **system, as well as maintain the existing hardware and software asset lists, including system enhancements and additions of enterprise and divisional hardware and software technologies.
- Conducts research and evaluation of enterprise and divisional hardware and software asset data as part of the ongoing audit and make recommendations on compliance.
- Maintains a compliance schedule for enterprise and divisional hardware and software assets during its lifecycle. Liaising with hardware and software owners and assisting the TAM team in daily operational activities including providing usage and other asset reports as required.
- Performs enterprise-wide hardware and software administration, including addition, deletion and changes to software license rules according to approved policy, standards and procedures.
- Responds to user inquiries, investigate and analyze problems as well as develop resolutions and/or action plans.
- Conducts, update and improve reviews of documentation, manuals, standards and procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science), or the approved equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience
- Experience troubleshooting compliance reports, and assisting with their resolution
- Experience coordinating, creating and documenting requirements and assisting with upgrading and/or deploying system enhancements
- Experience in enterprise software administration, analyzing software license agreements and vendor documentation
- Experience using tools and methodologies that support large-scale technology projects (e.g., more specifically, portfolio, procurement, contract and software asset management, MS Project, HTML, Crystal Reports, XM and ServiceNow

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate detailed technical information to a variety of audiences
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment
- Ability to work under time constraints and meet project deadlines
- Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call for support of production systems, where required
