Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist with expertise in Microsoft Office 365 administration and support to join their team in Toronto, ON. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting new projects and maintaining their hybrid environment. This person will possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, and Intune, and will excel in delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with MS Office, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint administration, including configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 administration and support, with a strong understanding of hybrid environments (on-premises AD and Azure AD).
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to provide technical guidance and support to Level 1 support personnel. Comfortable acting as a senior member of the technical support team.
  • Experience working in mid to large-sized enterprise environments, supporting multiple geographic regions.
  • Expertise in Active Directory management, including user setup, group policy management, and domain controller administration. This involves configuring and maintaining user accounts, security groups, and organizational units (OUs), ensuring proper access control and authentication mechanisms are in place
  • Proven experience with Power Automate and developing workflows and automation. This includes creating automated processes using Power Automate to streamline business operations, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance productivity across the organization.
  • Must have experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks within the Office 365 environment.
  • Microsoft certifications considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, and Intune.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new projects and initiatives related to Office 365 deployment and management.
  • Manage and maintain our hybrid environment, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises Active Directory and Azure AD.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft Teams and SharePoint administration, providing guidance and best practices to internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and address technical issues and performance bottlenecks within the Office 365 environment.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by resolving support tickets promptly and effectively, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and communication with end-users.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Level 1 support personnel, helping them develop their technical skills and expertise.
