THE ROLE


As a Senior Business Development Manager at The Sales Exchange, you'll be a driven salesperson who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. Reporting to the Director, your initial focus will be on representing two clients in Sales Training and CRM. You'll be responsible for finding and closing new business for these clients on a 'fractional' basis.


Your day-to-day will involve researching, prospecting, and engaging with potential clients, as well as exploring innovative strategies to expand the customer base for these two clients.


RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

• Develop leads and actively find new sales opportunities.

• Use various methods like cold calling, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and referrals to find prospects.

• Keep accurate forecasts and activity reports.

• Use our internal CRM actively.

• Build strong relationships with key decision-makers.

• Understand current and potential customers' business needs and goals.

• Create sales proposals and give presentations.

• Complete necessary documents for customer orders.

• Attend regular sales meetings and performance reviews.

• Help coordinate with the marketing team for effective marketing materials.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

 

• Experience using CRM software.

• Experience in business-to-business sales.

• University or college degree preferred.

• Sales experience in IT and sales training preferred.

 

KEY COMPETENCIES & PERSONALITY TRAITS

 

• Energetic and self-motivated "hunter" with a passion for new business.

• Knowledge of CRM and business analytics software is a plus.

• Strong understanding of sales strategies.

• Positive, proactive, and able to build strong relationships.

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.

• Effective phone interaction and cold-calling skills.

• Familiarity with solution selling.

• Understanding of managing a sales funnel.

• Ability to confidently communicate with decision-makers in any organization.
