About the role

We are looking for a Bilingual Unit Manager, Administration (Broker Logistics ) to join our growing team

Reporting to the Manager, Broker Logistics, the successful candidate will be a key member of the Intact management team. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join a new team at Intact who can drive positive change and motivate the team. You will demonstrate clear leadership abilities and attract, develop as well as retain staff. You will also provide guidance, support, and coaching to staff regarding day-to-day operations to ensure objectives are met and customer service is attained while, continuously demonstrating and upholding our Leadership Success Factors.

This is a great opportunity to work on team with a National mandate. You will be leading a team of employees located in Quebec and work with team members located in Ontario and West. 

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has worked with contracts in Claims Legal, Underwriting or Accounts Receivable ; has experience with broker codes; is detail oriented and is focused on finding solutions to implement change.

What you’ll do here:

Provides leadership to the team, focusing on setting goals and priorities, managing work intake, monitoring performance, and providing feedback to employees

Streamline and standardize processes to align broker contracts and code functions nationally

Manage changes to contracts and codes through the lifecycle of the broker relationship 

Develop and implement operational policies and procedures within a defined governance framework along with associated change management

Respond to and resolve operational issues/problems within defined service level agreement timeframe

Liaise with Legal and Business stakeholders as needed

Liaise with Compliance and Risk Management teams as needed

Manage the ongoing operation of the Broker Contracts SharePoint site, and execute on its continuous improvement

Lead and oversee broker communication as it relates to new and changes to existing broker agreements and codes

Support the Broker Compensation and Reporting team through their financial cycles or as needed

Other ad hoc projects, as required


What you bring to the table:

Experience with leading a team and drive change 

Experience with change management, an asset

Experience with contracts in Claims Legal, Underwriting or Accounts Receivable

Understanding of Intact business environment. Knowledge of Halcion and or Classique system, preferred

Team leadership skills and attention to detail

Project management experience

Solution oriented & takes initiative

Experience with management of a SharePoint site, an asset

No Canadian work experience required but must have authorization to work in Canada.
