We nurture talent by providing support, continuous learning, and growth.   Reporting to: Executive Director and Community Relations Manager Position Overview: We seek a dynamic and experienced Retirement Living Sales & Marketing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to promote our community. This role requires a deep understanding of the vision for our community and the senior care industry, excellent communication skills, direct sales experience, an in-depth understanding of social media and various communication channels as well as have a proven track record of sales success. You will be directly engaged in our leasing program on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.   Is responsible for generating revenue because of direct external sales and co-marketing efforts. The responsibilities include maintaining relationships in the community and developing and implementing sales strategies. You'll be involved in the development, implementation, and optimization of the various channels of communication that will be used to reach out to our residents and their families and connect with the people who will want to call our community home. You will collaborate closely with our marketing team and demonstrate skill in creating and delivering marketing strategies and campaigns, defining and utilizing multiple channels to communicate and enhance brand awareness, generate interest, and keep our community at the top of your mind.  Key Responsibilities: Marketing:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing plans to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
  • Build relationships with referral sources such as hospitals, physicians, senior living communities, and other relevant organizations.
  • Identify, target, and generate a consistent and continuous referral stream from qualified referral sources to maintain an effective and systematic leasing program.
  • Prospect and qualify new referral sources through phone, email and various community outreach conduits, including establishing and maintaining existing relationships with community partners by providing support information education to increase the number of referrals.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential target markets and assess competitor offerings.
  • Identify both new business opportunities and new customer call points within the community.
  • Identify and complete networking activities.
  • Coordinate and participate in community outreach programs, seminars, and events to promote our services and engage with potential clients.
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to prospects and their families throughout the sales process, initial call, tour, and follow-up addressing any concerns or questions.
 Content Creation:
  • An important attribute will be the ability to create and distribute well-written content on various topics that reflect our community's core values.
  • To be able to write the chapters and develop the compelling storylines that define living your life at Scarborough Retirement Residence.
  • To be able to manage a CRM and distribute the messaging and content that keeps everyone aware of the activities, amenities and special events that reflect the socialization and benefits of communal living.
 Digital Marketing:The role requires creativity, analytical skills, and a strong understanding of digital platforms and trends.  To create compelling digital content and manage social media posts website, blog articles, email newsletters and multimedia assets. Social Media Management:
  • As an integral member of the marketing initiative, you can identify the appropriate social media outlets and create suitable content to post. You can monitor and manage our social media accounts, including scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Utilize various marketing channels outside of social media, including email campaigns, networking events, and event marketing, to generate leads and increase brand awareness.
 SEO and SEM:You will have a working knowledge that will help you in optimizing website content and search engine optimization.  You will update content, monitor performance, and implement SEO best practices. Competitive Analysis:Develop an understanding of what the other communities in our trading area are doing, including having an excellent working knowledge of each community, their price points, unique selling propositions and marketing platforms. Strategies and Budgets:
  • Collaborate with the Community Relations Manager and Executive Director to develop strategies, programs, and budgets to ensure that the Scarborough Retirement Community remains competitive and top of mind with our target audience.

 Qualifications
  • A degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least two years specifically in the senior care industry.
  • Experience in digital marketing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in digital marketing, including but not limited to creating and delivering engaging marketing content across various platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Word 
  • Has a driver's license.
