Responsibilities

Responsible for making decisions that impact immediate operations in leaderships absence. Provide data and analytics to leadership in area of expertise. Complete and maintain Continuous Improvement Yellow Belt Certification following guidance set by CI Leadership Provides thoughts, comments, and positive discussion as an area representative in CI projects. Provides operator level thoughts on the current process and proposed changes. Ability to lead appropriate level projects and represent function in Business Plan related meetings. Drive multiple projects, tasks, and priorities through strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Support determination of priorities, meet deadlines, work under pressure, and ensure quality standards. Analyze, implement, improve, and support efficient, flexible, and scalable processes. Initiate and execute projects based on functional area to support operational efficiencies, strategies, and initiatives. Identify and help implement solutions to improve processes and develop efficiencies within Distribution Center function. Coordinate intake of feedback and idea generation for continuous improvement projects to PMO. Liaison between internal and external customers and Distribution Center on key initiatives. Represent Distribution Center through conference calls, presentations, and business conversations as needed. Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful execution of processes. Provide expertise to leadership and other functions on behalf of areas within the Distribution Center Work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization. Regularly reviews area work instructions and documents to identify discrepancies. Drafts new work instructions for approval and provides training to relevant team members for any updates in work instructions or documents. Strictly adhere to safety requirements. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Maintain company quality and quantity standards.

Qualifications

Requires 5 years related experience, preferably in a warehouse environment. 2 years’ experience with Cook preferred. Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge, including advanced Excel functions (. vlookup, pivot tables, Local or standard WMS system knowledge required. Yellow Belt in continuous improvement required. Experience with quality document control systems is preferred. High School Diploma, High School Equivalency Diploma or participating in a Cook sponsored program to obtain a High School Diploma or Equivalency Diploma
Minimum 18 years of age Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in Canada.  Local or standard warehouse management system required. Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations. Able to identify risks to the Distribution Center and organization, and present to leadership. Create projects within the PMO as needed to address risk related issues. Ability to lead change by understanding how the change applies to their role and be able to follow as needed. Also able to positively provide peer to peer feedback on the importance on continuous improvement and change. Positively leads change initiatives as an area SME. Ensures new processes are rolled out successfully. Ability to expertly navigate local Warehouse Management System as an advanced user in multiple applications. Ability to navigate Qlik apps and standard Business Objects reports. Ability to multi-task and manage time well independently.

Physical Requirements:

Requires some early morning or late evening meetings. Must be willing to travel, if needed. Works under fast-paced conditions. Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations. Ability to stand for 8 hours. Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers and equipment.
