Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities:
• Transition hard copy records into electronic files by scanning and setting up these files.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure they follow our Retention Guidelines.
• Handle inbound calls and provide excellent customer service.
• Perform data entry tasks as required.
• Correspond via email in a professional and timely manner.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook for various tasks.
• Maintain and manage electronic files using Laserfiche.
• Document scanning and organizing as part of records maintenance.
• Assist in other administrative tasks as directed by the supervisor.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within the government sector
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
• Experience in handling inbound calls and email correspondence, demonstrating excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain records effectively, demonstrating excellent organizational skills
• Experience with document scanning and electronic file management
• Knowledge of Laserfiche or similar document management systems
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification. Higher degree or certification in administrative studies would be an advantage.
