The first of its kind in Canada, FNHA works as a health-and-wellness partner with BC First Nations to support self-determination and decision-making to improve health outcomes.
Do you have a passion for assisting First Nations communities in identifying and prioritizing current and emerging health care needs to inform local and regional planning activities? This is a rewarding role where you can develop and support a community engagement strategy involving all communities within the Tahltan area.
Title: Community Engagement Coordinator.
Contract: Permanent.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. (Core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri).
Location: True North/Tahltan, B.C. (Hybrid/Remote working is an option).
About the role
As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will provide communications, collaboration and planning support to BC First Nations communities. You will develop and support local community engagement activities as part of a regional team. In addition, you will ensure that engagement functions and resources are effectively integrated, organized and leveraged to meet strategic and operational needs within the local area or sub-region.

As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.
