**What you'll do**

Reporting to CCEM's directors, the Communications and Engagement Coordinator will support a variety of consultation and engagement initiatives and contribute to communication needs supporting the successful delivery of other projects, as assigned. Working with the applicable project team(s), the primary duties and responsibilities will include:
**Engagement & Consultation**
- Supports CCEM in building and maintaining positive relationships with Indigenous Groups and stakeholders.
- Assists in planning and implementing engagement and consultation projects/programs.
- Supports the development and implementation of tailored engagement and consultation plans and strategies.
- Identifies applicable stakeholders and Indigenous groups to be included in engagement and consultation processes.
- Develops innovative strategies to encourage participation in engagement and consultation processes.
- Supports the delivery of in-person and digital engagement tactics, including online tools such as surveys, whiteboarding, etc.
- Takes detailed notes during meetings and engagement sessions. Responsible for detailed documentation and records management, including capturing information and/or concerns shared, and tracking session attendance and action items for follow-up
- Assists with accurate and timely responses to stakeholders and Indigenous Groups.
- Completes data analysis and drafts reports.
- Coordinates logistics and attends consultation and engagement sessions as needed. Inter-provincial travel required.
- Performs general administrative duties, as assigned.

**Communication & Design**
- Creates communications materials including (but not limited to) writing content/messaging, briefing notes, FAQs, backgrounders, key messages, etc.
- Develops informational and graphic materials for engagement and consultation sessions and for inclusion in reports, plans or other documents.
- Produces written and visual summaries of consultation processes and survey results.
- Edits and proofreads content for accuracy, grammar, brand, and tone.
- Assists in drafting and refining presentation materials for clients and senior team members.
- Supports layout design and print production for reports, brochures, booth displays and other materials.
