NSCR seeks a **full time **(1.0 FTE) **Manager, Community Engagement and Seniors Programs **to join our Senior Leadership Team. The Manager, Community Engagement and Seniors Programs has the lead responsibility for leading all aspects of the following programs: Seniors One Stop Navigation Centre; Community Connectors; Caregiver Support; Better at Home; Volunteer North Shore (including the Community Volunteer Income Tax Clinic); Intergenerational North Shore; Age Well at Home. The Manager is a member of the Senior Leadership Team at NSCR.

**Responsibilities**

The **NSCR** **Manager, Community Engagement and Seniors Programs **will provide:
1. Program and Service Delivery
- Overall implementation of programs and services, ensuring goals and objectives are met
- Reporting program/service deliverables to the Executive Director, funders and the Board
- Resolving complaints/conflicts by supporting staff/volunteers and troubleshooting issues
- Event management where needed
- Managing communication of programs including to internal (staff, volunteers) and to the external community (clients, promotion/advertising, media, funders, etc.)
- Oversight and participation in: National Volunteer Week activities; Volunteer Coordinators Community of Practice for the North Shore; production of annual North Shore Youth Volunteer Directory; maintenance and upkeep of the Volunteer North Shore database
- Oversight of the production of the annual North Shore Seniors Directory
- Representing NSCR at the North Shore Seniors’ Coalition and participating in Advisory Committees including the Age Well at Home Community of Practice

2. Financial Management
- Ensuring the financial viability of programs and services including funding sources and management of program budgets and resources
- Working with the Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director in developing program appropriate budgets and reviewing quarterly financial statements, ensuring program budgets are appropriate and delivered on time and within budget parameters

3. Human Resource Management
- Ensuring that NSCR staff and volunteers are appropriate for their positions and are sufficiently supported to enjoy their work and fulfill their positions’ responsibilities
- Work with Program Coordinators to develop staffing needs and responsibilities
- Hiring and supervising NSCR staff and volunteers including drafting work plans for staff, annual performance reviews and Identifying staff/volunteer professional development needs
- Mentoring and coaching staff and volunteers to successfully deliver programs and services
- Managing human resource concerns for Community Engagement and Seniors programs
- Assisting in the development of human resource policies and procedures as needed

4. Other Management Duties
- Promoting the NSCR brand and NSCR programs and services in the community
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with community partners
- Participating in management and staff meetings
- Assisting in the general efficient operation of the NSCR office
- Assisting in the creation and implementation of NSCR’s Strategic Plans

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- Relevant post-secondary education and experience related to aging and seniors’ health
- Minimum of 3 years management experience in a not-for-profit environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; enjoys working with people
- Excellent administrative and organization skills
- Demonstrated financial literacy (budgets) and human resource management skills
- Strong analytical skills; strategic and systems thinking skillset
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, and with diverse groups and individuals, community partners, funders and all levels of government with a focus on collaboration
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and database software
- Second language an asset
