What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a Technical Sales & Pre-Sales Specialist to join our Team.  The Technical Sales & Pre-Sales Specialist will collaborate closely with the sales team and our clients to understand their businesses and IT environments, and design, validate, and present solutions to our clients, who are primarily within the SMB and Mid-Market sectors.  The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT solutions, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to translate technical features into clear benefits for our clients. They will also be able to build detailed statements of work and implementation plans, and align the Implementation Teams to successfully deliver the solutions.

The Technical Sales & Pre-Sales Specialist will also engage with and provide expertise to our Technical Teams to support existing customer mandates.


What You'll Do:

  • Customer Engagement and Solution Design: Work closely with clients, our Sales Team and our Technical Teams to understand client requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Collaboration with Sales Team: Partner with the Sales Team to strategize on approaches to closing deals, providing technical expertise and assisting in responding to RFPs, RFIs, and other customer inquiries that require detailed technical knowledge.
  • Technical Presentations and Proposal Development: Deliver compelling presentations, proposals and demos to current and prospective clients, effectively communicating the value and benefits of our products and services, as well as including technical specifications, scope of work, and cost estimates, where appropriate.
  • Detailed Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive Statements of Work (SOWs) and project plans, then align and coordinate with the Implementation Teams to ensure successful execution of the solutions.
  • Documentation and Customer Feedback: Prepare and maintain documentation for proposed solutions, ensuring clear communication of technical aspects, and gather feedback from clients to inform product development and service improvements.
  • Expertise to Fencecore’s Technical Teams: Provide expertise to the Technical Team by helping problem solve and develop solutions for existing clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and service quality.
  • Market and Technology Research: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors’ offerings to ensure Fencecore's solutions remain competitive and innovative.
  • Technical Training: Provide training to the Sales Team on solutions, features, and benefits to facilitate solution selling.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, cloud services, and hosting solutions. Proficiency in designing and implementing IT solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Technical Sales and/or Pre-Sales role, with a track record of designing, presenting and implementing solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (English, French), with the ability to articulate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency in conducting technical assessments.
  • Deep understanding of the technology landscape and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Functional knowledge of ConnectWise a big plus.
  • Experience working with SMB and Mid-Market clients.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
