Your Role...

As our newest Application Engineer, you will work closely with our Sales team, Project Engineers, suppliers, and clients, serving as a vital technical resource during the initial stages of the sales cycle for compressed air systems, product adaptations, and comprehensive engineered solutions. You will have the opportunity to explore a broad range of product lines and technologies, including air compressors, accessories, dryers, gas generators, air receivers, and much more.

Key Responsibilities...

  • Assist in the selection and sizing of new and complex products or systems.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to evaluate the technical and commercial viability of proposals. Address customer inquiries and specifications.
  • Produce high-quality quotations, delivering meticulously crafted proposals for locally sourced equipment, product modifications, and engineered solutions.
  • Enhance offers and collaborate with procurement and external partners to ensure competitive and cost-effective proposals are submitted.
  • Create technical documentation and prepare 2D and 3D drawings, along with comprehensive technical datasheets during the sales process.
  • Conduct in-depth technical presentations and participate in bid clarification meetings as needed.
  • Continuously enhance the efficiency and quality of support provided to the sales team, working alongside fellow application engineers.
  • Support the sales team by gathering and reviewing all pertinent technical information.
  • Perform comparative analyses to demonstrate the efficiency advantages of our solutions over competitor offerings.
  • Seek innovative ways to add value for customers and promote our efficient solutions.

Qualifications for Success...

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a technical/commercial engineering role
  • At least 2 years of experience with air compressors, treatment systems, and installation
  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience in designing and sizing compressed air systems
  • Familiarity with API/ISO standards and specifications
  • Knowledge of CRM tools and sizing/calculation software
  • Experience with AutoCAD (mechanical or electrical) and Inventor Professional
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
