Stafingo is currently hiring an
Intermediate Administrative Assistant
for a
professional federal government client in Ottawa.
This is a
full-time, onsite contract role
supporting a senior leadership team during a period of organizational growth.

$21–$27/hour (based on experience)

Role Overview

The successful candidate will provide
administrative and staffing support
to a senior management team within a complex government organization. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a
Government of Canada environment
.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general office and administrative support
  • Coordinate meetings, room bookings, and calendars
  • Prepare, format, and distribute correspondence, agendas, presentations, and records of decision
  • Maintain and update organizational charts
  • Track and report staffing activities and establishment changes
  • Maintain accurate records within personnel and information management systems
  • Develop and manage electronic information libraries
  • Respond to stakeholder inquiries and guide internal processes
  • Support senior staff with ad hoc administrative tasks as required

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Secondary school diploma
    or
    an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum
    12 months of relevant administrative experience
  • At least 2 years (within the last 5 years)
    using
    Microsoft Office Suite
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Experience
    within the Government of Canada is mandatory
  • Valid Secret Security Clearance
    (issued by PSPC)
  • Ability to work
    full-time onsite in Ottawa
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Assets / Right-Fit Considerations

The following will be considered strong assets:

  • Additional administrative experience in a federal government department
  • Knowledge of government staffing, personnel, or information management processes
  • Experience supporting senior executives or management teams
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and coordination skills
  • Familiarity with government policies, procedures, and governance environments

Security Requirement

  • Secret Clearance (valid and issued by PSPC)
    is mandatory
