We are seeking a well-organized, self-directed individual with excellent communication skills for the position of Administrative Coordinator. Reporting to the Director, Administration and working closely with the central office operations team, and several committee chairs, the Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive coordination and support for departmental activities including committee work, planning and coordination of departmental events, support for divisional surveys and searches and the promotions process and other project support as required. This is a dynamic, fast paced environment with a wide variety of work.

**This is a Hybrid Work position, and is eligible for work-from-home and office status.**

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Undergraduate degree or diploma from a recognized university or college and 3-5 years’ experience in an administrative role. An acceptable combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a formal post-secondary qualification
- International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) certification is an asset
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ of progressively responsible experience, providing administrative support and office coordination at the executive level required, preferably within healthcare
- Event planning and coordination experience required
- Extensive committee support and minute taking experience required
- Reviews and responds to all incoming correspondence and inquiries, bringing attention to issues of particular relevance or urgency
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of the department, its policies and procedures, as well a general knowledge of institutional policies and procedures, healthcare legislation, collective agreements and other portfolio's services provided within Nova Scotia Health
- The incumbent maintains an awareness of internal and external issues that may impact the department/organization
- Well-developed abilities and skills in all facets of modern office practices and technology and with information and meeting technologies
- Proficiency using MS Office and Adobe;
- Works effectively during periods of high activity
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing and organizational skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$27.02 - $30.62 Hourly
