**The Role of Lead Business Development Manager**

As a Lead Business Development Manager, you will lead from the front through your sales results. It is not only your results that matter, but also how you get there. As a leader, it is critical that you do everything in the right way and in accordance with our Peninsula procedures, sales structures, and sales operations. The Lead Business Development Manager should operate with integrity and maintain and spread a positive outlook with the sales team and throughout the organization. When not conducting individual sales contributor duties, the Lead BDM will be a synergistic team player and give their time to coach, mentor, and shadow Business Development Managers and is a driving positive force in team meetings. When their manager is away, a Lead Business Development Manager may be asked to fill in and perform managerial duties.

As a Lead Business Development Manager, you will identify and bring on board small/medium sized businesses to Peninsula's services. You will be selling Peninsula's award-winning HR, Health & Safety and Bright HR SAAS solution, to ensure Canada's SMEs are fully supported with their human resources/work health and safety needs through our subscription-based, cost-effective model.

**Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities**
- Self-sourcing leads and securing new business opportunities
- Contacting leads and conducting face to face business meetings with new prospects
- Achieving set sales targets with a focus on over achievement
- Ensure high standards of professionalism and customer service, thereby creating referral and intermediary opportunities
- Ensuring that clients understand all aspect of Peninsula product features and benefits.

**What you Bring to the Team**
- A successful proven track record in B2B sales at Peninsula
- At least 1 year in the Peninsula business
- Extensive experience selling face to face with new business prospects
- A hunger to drive and deliver on new business sales targets
- Experience working within a fully autonomous field-based role
- A mature approach to consultative selling
- Excellent communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills
- A positive attitude, with an unyielding passion for success
