This role is based within ExitCertified (which provides Educational Services to companies), where you will be responsible for identifying new prospects, converting them into clients, and supporting and growing an existing base of clients in your assigned territory. You will accomplish this through your ability to build a rapport with clients so you can learn about their team to uncover opportunities to sell existing training products and services and create solutions that address client needs. You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding an annual margin quota from a portfolio of named and territory accounts.
**This is a remote role.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required**
Principal Responsibilities:
- This role will focus on selling to the Canadian Federal Government. Establish new customers and grow existing customers within the territory
- Use current and new leads to establish a rapport. Spend time before contacting customers researching and gathering information on them and their company
- Prospect old customers using the information we have about their history with us as well as information from sites like LinkedIn or other prospecting tools
- Sell consultatively to customers using the data we have and the inputs received from other team members, SMEs, etc., to create a compelling reason to schedule client conversations and meetings (virtual or in-person) with existing and prospective customers
- Work with SMEs to understand customer needs
- Position off-the-shelf offerings when appropriate
- Work collaboratively to design/develop custom learning solutions when appropriate
- Prepare professional post-engagement summaries and present them to customers
- Meet or exceed revenue and profit goals
- Maintain existing contract requirements
- On a daily basis, document Sales activity, notes, opportunities, pipeline and customer contacts within provided CRM
Job Level Specifications:
- Expert knowledge of assigned product / service line and broad understanding of how they integrate with the organization's entire product / service line.
- Typically works on a cross-section of large and/or prominent accounts with several changing variables and complexity.
- Work is performed under very limited direction.
- Has considerable latitude in determining best approach to sales and service tasks.
- Maintains excellent rapport with existing clients and frequently interacts directly with new prospects to build customer base and increase sales.
- Provides input to sales management.
- Actions impact the organization.
- Failure to accomplish work or meet customer expectations will result in the inability to reach crucial organizational sales goals and may cause long-term damage to client relationship.
**Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions**
Work Experience:
- Five to ten years in a sales or new business development role with experience selling in a complex business environment to mid to large companies or governments
- Prior background selling IT training or experience selling other intangible services or consulting is preferred
- Experience selling to the Canadian Federal Government is preferred
- Knowledge of IT and Technology trends is highly preferred
- Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills; strong conceptual and analytical skills
- Team player mentality
- Strong business acumen
- Independent; self-driven; well organized; inspires confidence in self, the product, and the company
- Works well under pressure. Demonstrates sound business judgment, common sense, and insight
Education and Certification(s):
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience preferred
