Administrative Assistant/safety Administrator

**Responsibilities: (including but not limited to the following)**
- Organizing & distributing paperwork
- Faxing, scanning, photocopying & filing documents
- Data entry
- Monitoring First Aid and all safety related certificates/records to ensure they remain current
- Coordinate COR audit and ensure all recommendations are addressed in a timely manner
- Organize and participate in the Joint Occupational Health and Safety committee & monthly meetings
- Coordinate distribution of safety material to all branch locations
- Maintain all health and safety related files
- Ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Be the point of contact for all health and safety knowledge and questions.
- Ensure all accident and incident reporting is completed correctly and processed as required
- Assist with coordination of our Return to Work Program
- Assist with submission and management of WorkSafe BC claims
- General safety-related & administrative duties as required
- Answering phones & directing calls
**Requirements**:
- Excellent internal/external customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Working experience as a health & safety professional an asset
- COR auditor certification or willing to take the course
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of WorkSafe BC regulations and policies an asset
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Thrives in a fast pace environment
- Must be available to start at 8:00am
- Experience in transportation or similar trades an asset
- Reliable transportation is required

**Salary commensurate with experience.**

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
