The incumbent supports the Payroll Team, as well as various Human Resources Department projects, as required. The Administrator prepares payroll-related correspondence, ensures consistency and accuracy of time entry, carries out procedures and processes related to employees’ personnel files, and responds to payroll inquiries in a timely manner, while respecting confidentiality. **KEY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITIES** **The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative but not all-inclusive**: **Primary** - Complete payroll data entry according to the requirements for each province and territory - Process data entry updates for internal and external staffing requests - Respond to Human Resources business partners’ basic and intermediary payroll inquiries - Draft employee correspondence, employment and confirmation letters, and various employment documents - Produce standard reports and follow up on payroll action items - Administer filing and archive management for the Human Resources Department **Other** - Update the internal staff directory (Who’s Who) - Support Human Resources Department projects, as required - Other duties as assigned **SKILLS** **General and Specific Knowledge** - Administrative best practices - Payroll principles **Formal Education and/or Certification(s) and Experience** - **Minimum**:college diploma in general office administration, human resources, finance or accounting and two years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent - **Preferred**:minimum requirements and Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation **Abilities** - Use applicable computer software and operating systems - Explain basic payroll information to Human Resources business partners and other team members - Perform repetitive data entry with high level of accuracy - Adhere to strict deadlines - Demonstrate attention to detail **DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP** - Provide functional advice and guidance to Human Resources business partners and other team members **WORKING CONDITIONS** - Typical office environment with occasional travel **Check out the benefits** Working with DCC offers excellent opportunities for growth - and entitles you to one of the job market’s best benefits packages.
