Position Overview: The Territory Sales Representative will be responsible for expanding sales within Edmonton, Alberta, and the US by building relationships with new customers and strengthening partnerships with existing clients. This role requires a self-motivated, relationship-driven professional who can travel throughout Alberta and the US as required. The TSR will play a key role in pulling demand through the local distribution network while collaborating with their team to implement a strategic expansion plan. The ideal candidate will work directly with Commercial General Contractors, Distribution Centers, Architects, and Designers to deliver outstanding products and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new sales opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
- Travel within Edmonton, Alberta, and the US to engage with customers and drive business growth.
- Work closely with local distributors to increase demand and optimize market reach.
- Conduct product presentations and offer technical support to contractors, architects, and designers.
- Utilize a hunter sales mentality to generate leads, cold-call prospects, and close deals.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to support product applications.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations team to ensure seamless service delivery.
- 3+ years of outside sales experience, preferably within the Alberta region.
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry and building materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Comfortable with cold-calling and has a balanced hunter/miner sales approach.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly organized, goal-driven, and able to multitask effectively.
- High School Diploma required; College diploma or post-graduate certificate in a relevant field (e.g., Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology) is preferred.
- $75K - $90K base salary + monthly sales bonus
