The Sales Operations Specialist plays a critical role in driving revenue growth and operational efficiency by supporting the revenue teams across multiple areas including process changes, deal desk, data integrity strategies, and reporting insights. This role involves a blend of analytical, technical, and collaborative skills to ensure the revenue organization has the resources, insights, and processes needed to achieve its targets. The Specialist will work closely with the Senior Revenue Operations Manager on a variety of strategic initiatives and projects to meet revenue goals. The impact you'll have:
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of our customer lifecycle information in Salesforce, including opportunity stages, close dates, and deal values as part of owning the deal desk. You'll play a key role in revenue reconciliation by collaborating with the Finance team to ensure our financial reporting is aligned with sales performance.
- Champion data quality by deep-diving into anomalies to identify root causes and engineer lasting solutions, while also proactively maintaining the database to ensure accurate insights for strategic decision-making.
- Optimize sales and customer experience operations by identifying and executing on opportunities to streamline processes, including owning communication and documentation throughout projects; refining lead management to capture and nurture high-potential prospects; masterminding opportunity management to accelerate deal closures and fostering seamless and cohesive dissemination of information internally across the prospect's journey, from the initial point of contact to their transition into a customer.
- Empower revenue leaders with data-driven insights by crafting compelling dashboards and reports that illuminate key performance indicators and unlock strategic opportunities.
- Partner with the Senior Revenue Operations Manager to design and implement effective sales territory strategies that optimize market coverage and penetration, ultimately contributing to the achievement of revenue targets.
- Actively collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization - sales, marketing, finance, enablement, and customer experience - to proactively identify potential challenges and formulate strategic remedies to stay ahead of the curve.
- Be a change agent by collaborating with the Enablement team to ensure smooth integration of process and technology improvements, empowering revenue teams to excel in their roles.
- Partner with Revenue Operations Systems Administrators to bridge the gap between business requirements and system capabilities. The scope of this collaboration encompasses technical setup, enablement, and post-rollout support to ensure seamless integration and adoption by the teams which would involve; conducting meetings with internal stakeholders to gain insights into their needs; ensuring that technical specifications are well-defined and overseeing the smooth implementation of technical updates.
- Assess incoming requests to Business Operations, adding detail and clarity to facilitate streamlined processing and effective resource allocation.
- 3 plus years of experience in a SaaS B2B environment, with at least 2 years in sales operations, business operations, or a related operations field.
- Deep understanding of key SaaS metrics, including ARR, MRR, and churn metrics as part of deal desk ownership and data integrity.
- Previous experience with deal desk preferred, including ability to review and comprehend contract language.
- Proficiency in Salesforce Sales Cloud, including Reports and Dashboards. Salesforce admin experience is a plus.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- A natural desire to comprehend and implement imaginative solutions to address business challenges, while simultaneously expanding one's own knowledge.
- Enthusiastic about learning new skills and technologies.
- Ability to build bridges among cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and is excited about working with Axonifiers at all levels of the organization.
- Strong active listening skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into comprehensible language that non-technical users can understand.
