We are seeking an experienced accounting and administrative technician to join a fast-growing company in the Mile-End district for a part-time contract of 3 days a week (21 hours/week). The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Reviewing and processing customer invoices prepared by account managers, ensuring timely follow-up and collection as required.
  • Matching supplier invoices with purchase orders, validating accounting entries, and integrating copies of the invoices for efficient tracking.
  • Monitoring cash flow on a daily basis, depositing cheques, and preparing bank transfers to identified suppliers.
  • Following up on corporate credit card vouchers, retrieving invoices from various web platforms, and making timely payments.
  • Performing various journal entries, including payroll, loans, insurance, and other relevant transactions.
  • Reconciling all bank accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintaining inventory and ordering stationery and office supplies.
  • Providing receptionist services, answering phones, and routing calls.
  • Collecting and distributing mail.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A DEC in administrative techniques with a focus on accounting.
  • A minimum of three to four years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and French.
  • Mastery of the Office suite and Google, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with accounting software, with Odoo being an asset.
  • Payroll management expertise.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • A desire to work in an agile environment.
  • Versatility, perseverance, analytical skills, and a methodical approach.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $35,000 to $45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure is based on the location and industry standards.
