About the Role

The BC SPCA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Officer, Events and Revenue Development to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our Provincial Office in Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and execution of various fundraising and stewardship events, with a primary focus on the Offleashed Vancouver Gala.
  • Support the Offleashed Victoria Gala, two Fur Balls, and other events around the province.
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with the Philanthropy team and event committees to optimize relationship-building opportunities and grow support for events.
  • Supervise and mentor the Development Assistant, Events.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education plus 5-8 years of experience in fundraising and events, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough understanding of events and fundraising strategy, efficiency, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating, monitoring, and analyzing annual plans and budgets.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed environment and make decisions in dynamic situations.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented approach.
  • CRM experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
