About the Role

The BC SPCA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Officer, Events - Revenue Development to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our Provincial Office in Vancouver, with opportunities for hybrid work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all planning and execution for the annual Offleashed Vancouver Gala, including fundraising strategy, programmatic elements, logistics, timelines, budgeting, sponsor structure and recognition, donor stewardship, and communications and marketing.
  • Collaborate with the Philanthropy team and event committees to optimize relationship-building opportunities and grow support for Offleashed Vancouver.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry peers and maintain a commitment to continued education, learning, and innovation.
  • Supervise and mentor the Development Assistant, Events.
What We're Looking For
  • A motivated and innovative problem-solver with a strong understanding of events and fundraising strategy, efficiency, and best practices.
  • Experience in creating, monitoring, and analyzing annual plans and budgets, managing vendor relationships and fundraising volunteers, and providing formal and informal guidance and training to colleagues and volunteers.
  • A clear and persuasive communicator with the ability to communicate respectfully to a diverse audience.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented approach and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with minimum supervision.
  • CRM experience and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
