About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Program Manager to join our Canada Public Sector team at Amazon Web Services. As a trusted advisor to our Federal Public Sector Team Leader, you will play a critical role in driving strategy and vision for the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic support and partnership to the Federal Public Sector Team Leader, helping to drive and reinforce the team's strategy and vision.
  • Manage the Team Leader's priorities, projects, and commitments, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Act as a liaison between the Federal Public Sector team and other key stakeholders across AWS, escalating issues and coordinating decision-making as needed.
  • Lead special initiatives and cross-functional projects on behalf of the team, serving as a project manager and bringing together the right resources.
  • Develop presentations, reports, and other materials to communicate progress, surface challenges, and influence key decisions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to provide the Team Leader with insights and recommendations.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and juggle multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of delivering cross-functional projects experience.
  • Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field.
