Job Title: Senior Program Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Coordinator to join our team at the University of Ottawa. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the tasks related to CO-OP interviews, ranking and matching students to various jobs in accordance with CO-OP program policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of placements: Oversees and coordinates all aspects of the CO-OP interview process, coordinates interviews, ranking and matching process.
  • Programs and Portfolio Management: Assesses applicants for work-study and 8-month job postings, collaborates with the Office of Financial Aid to determine eligibility, determines eligibility for international bursaries and shares information.
  • Account Management: Interacts with clients, maintains database and records, assists in conducting mid-term and final evaluations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in administration or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in a customer service role acting as a resource person.
  • Skills: Knowledge of postsecondary programs, university services and structure, ability to deal with conflicting priorities, good negotiation skills and ability to act tactfully and with diplomacy.
