Job Title: Director of Go-To-Market Strategy

Location: Toronto

About the Role:

  • Lead the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for product launches, ensuring cross-functional alignment and effective execution.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive successful sell-in and sell-out of product ranges, meeting category net sales and standard margin targets.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to guide the product launch process from research and development to release.
  • Drive adherence to the go-to-market calendar and key milestones, ensuring timely decision-making and preparation with teams.
  • Analyze data and track metrics to drive improved business outcomes and inform future strategies.
  • Oversee special activations from concept to execution, working closely with local and global stakeholders.
  • Ensure all key milestones and deliverables are up-to-date with each updated seasonal calendar.
  • Proactively identify and address potential cross-functional issues affecting the calendar, process, and organization.
  • Drive problem-solving and analytical modeling to provide insights into solutions and inform strategic recommendations.
  • Communicate progress, wins, and pain points to senior leadership, providing strategic guidance and recommendations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and handoffs of key inputs between milestones.
  • Champion the pipeline of innovation to test and monetize new products.
  • Conduct post-mortem sessions to discuss recommendations for future go-to-market strategies.
  • Set key performance indicators and monitor the success of the go-to-market strategy.
  • Conduct research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to inform strategies.
  • Develop materials to support cross-functional stakeholders in preparing for go-to-market milestones and plan development.

About You:

  • 5-10 years' experience in project management, change management, and project planning, preferably in a retail or fashion environment, strategy consulting company, or banking environment.
  • Prior experience managing go-to-market processes, calendars, and product launches.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, cross-functional, collaborative environment.
  • Range planning and merchandising experience preferred.
  • Consumer-centric process improvement.
  • Ability to hold teams and individuals accountable to delivery.
  • Product-oriented, passionate about product.
  • Clear communicator, able to synthesize data and contextualize ideas for sharing with others.
  • Collaborative, able to partner with other functions and business leaders on complex problems and business issues.
  • Intellectually curious, passionate about business and apparel/fashion, enjoys solving problems.
  • Action-oriented, enjoys translating recommendations into actions.
