Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary team at WCB Alberta. As a Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing psychological services to clients who have experienced traumatic or cumulative psychological injuries or brain injuries in the workplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver psychological services as part of an interdisciplinary team to enhance clients' abilities to return to work.
  • Complete psychological screens and treatment to address clients' psychological barriers to return to work.
  • Facilitate psychology groups and conduct relaxation training classes to reduce the impact of disability-related issues.
  • Mentor undergraduate psychology interns and supervise psychology residents.
  • Assist with program development as required.
  • Collaborate with psychology peers to ensure best practice.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Ph.D. in Psychology.
  • Active registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
  • Completion of an internship from a Canadian Psychological Association accredited facility or equivalent.
  • Experience in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting involving the assessment and treatment of a variety of disorders and experience providing psychological services and experience in the treatment of clients with trauma is required.
  • Training and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy is an asset.

Salary: Grade H7 - $51.52 to $67.04 per hour

These temporary, part-time positions are for approximately one year with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. Final candidates for these positions are required to undergo a security clearance as a condition of employment.
